Can anyone explain to me exactly how HW bump-ups (from levels of Mastery,
or otherwise) work as regards going from a Failure to a Success?
In particular, what's the deal the 'success number', and determining
who won, in a contest involving such?
I know this came up before, but I'm still Concerned, since it may throw
up some statistical oddness. I'll be happy to spare the Digest the
stochastic nitty-gritty if anyone prefers to discuss this by email.
