Apparently, Metsyla, third emperor of Kralorela is depicted as a
Phoenix (or an 'Eagle Phoenix' to be more precise), so you could
argue that they may be a sort of 'devolved' draconic being. Though
then again, isn't everything...

Funny you should mention enlightenment, since of course, Metsyla is
the source of same... That's _not_ the same thing as Liberation,
or Oneness with the Cosmic Dragon, etc, etc, I should stress.

Sounds like FAQ-fodder to me. I'll see if I can get something nice
and straightforward like this emperor stuff imprimatured for starters.
(Though I gotta double-check if _Glorantha_ doesn't cover this,
anyway.)
