No, no. The tenor turns out to be the son of the Moon Priestess who
was stolen at birth and the Eurmali servant just prevents them killing
each other whereupon the soprano is resurected and everyone joins in the
wedding party finale. Opera has to have a ridiculous plot, with comic
opera the more ridiculous the better.
