Plains Indians is a good visualization, with maybe a little Eurasian
horse barbarian (Scythians, Huns, Mongols, even Parthians) thrown
in for flavor. King of Sartar and G:ittHW both have basic information
on the Grazelander's history and beliefs, but you can tailor the
fine details to fit your campaign. If you want to do "Dances with
Wolves" (or maybe "Dances ON Wolves") you certainly can.
On the guy who wants to be a Duck, I would think that the first
step would be to get himself addopted by a Duck clan and then
become as Duck-like as he can manage by gaining all the
Durulz abilities he can. After all, if he walks like a Duck, talks
like a Duck and acts like a Duck... =)
