Hippogriff to Horse

Weird : just learned that the ancestors
of the horse were probably carniverous,
that horses have canines, even that certain African horses ** will actually eat meat **.

The Hippogriff to Horse story was already one of my favourite myths, but even moreso now I've learned it has a basis in reality ... :-)
