The thing that disturbs me is that the Shadow Cat is a profoundly magical crature, while a Bobcat is just a terran Cat. I wouldn't equal them.

Parhaps the word bobcat is used for something else entirely in the Gloranthan context, but at least I didn't get that image from reading AR.
