maps in the Griffin Mountain reprint) were the city maps that hid some of
the details included in the Griffin Island version reprinted as well as the
ones from Griffin Mountain?

That's why the ideal situation is to have two maps, a less detailed one for
the players and a more detailed one for the narrators.

Hey, I really liked the simple design of the maps in "Thunder Rebels". I don't think the Sartarites have any great cartographic technology; the simple, unscaled representations you see in TR are great for giving the players an idea of the shape of the land, without letting them think that they really know what the lay of the land is.
