For some reason I feel it suits a SF/Space Opera setting quite well (E.E. 'Doc' Smith style?), most action movie settings (it is, after all, filled with 'like in a movie' references) even Westerns and Gangster type backgrounds - all godfathers rather than god talkers, but bloodlines, followers, etc.
