As I understand -

Unless they've been deliberately created otherwise. You can create a real image which can be seen but not touched.

No. You're not manipulating sensory inputs at all. You're putting an object into the world which anyone can then sense any way they like. If an illusory tree falls in the forest, there -is- a sound.

All this seems to mean that the RQ3 Illusion spells are in fundamental error. So much the better, say I.
