  I don't know how I missed this. No, they can't. Humans require supplemental oxygen to reach the peak of Everest.

  Oxygen? What's oxygen? Oxygen is not a relevant concept in Glorantha, where Air is an element. We need Air to breathe, not some imaginary component of that air.
