Glorantha IS NOT Earth

Hi All

                I would like to express my support for those who have stated That Glorantha is not Earth and we should not be so quick to transplant things for Earth to Glorantha (frex. games although I will forgive the Issaries Trading Sticks game). While Earth analoges may be useful for out understanding of how Glorantha works, I would hate to see Glorantha cheapened by the whole- sale transplantation of concepts that occurs in some other FRPGs.

        On a second similar theme; why is everyone so worried about whether Humans in Glorantha have Iron in their blood. Remember that in Glorantha the metal which we refer to as iron (and all the others for that matter) is NOT the same substance as terrestrial iron, thus all the arguements about the relative density/ magnetic properties/ chemical compounds is irrelevant!

        Remember this is a fantasy setting we are talking about, magic is REAL and thus we should be a little more careful about using real-world knowledge. It may transpose, it may be useful for aiding understanding, then again it may not...
