I thought your phraseology seemed to imply the inter-skin relationship might "rotate" or otherwise change on some regular basis. (Compare the tribal customs of university department heads, professors, and planning unit directors, say. ;-/ (To wit, generally the same people with different hats on over a period of time.)) Obviously just my fevered imagination seizing on non-existant evidence.
