Seeing as how CA's _are_ (usually) human beings, donations can bump you up the list (IMC -in my campaign). And if you are non-local, they had better be big donations - locals known to the healer take precedence.
I do play that a friend or friends makes the shamanic descent into the underworld with the healer - and sometimes these friends are at risk.
