I think this one pf the points where Kralorela is very different from RW China. Kralorelans in good standing do not remain in accessible spirit form after death. The spirit leaves for Vithela, and thence to worlds unknown when the emperor dies. Thus any human spirit encountered is really disreputable, perhaps even a deceased Hsunchen (ptoi!).
