I didn't much like the suggested title, but I think this ambiguity exists, and is ruthlessly exploited by said Lunars, even. (This struck me when Suzanne Corteau remarked to me at C. '92 that her red hair might make her a tad unpopular in Sartar. Points deducted for not having read about Vinga, Suzanne. <g>)

I think for theist Genertela, the two (Grain/Land) are neary nuff the same, in general. Or at least the God Learners thought so, which surely means that there's at least, oooo, maybe two examples where this seems to be the case.

Obvious answers would be:

There aren't any, or at least that this tends to mitigate against such appointments.

There's a formal "marriage" in such cases, though it's purely for ritual purposes.

Kinky Lesbian Sex.

Men can act as Ralia priestesses.

The Grazers would say the relevant deity was La-ungariant, and the Tarshites that it was Kero Fin, I should think. Sartarites may well say "Ernalda", or either Esra or Kero Fin, I'm not sure.

Sweetcorn? (Suggested he, floundering.) Pela's "original" grain is wheat, though, I believe.
