Archives available to CompuServe Barbarians ?

Hello folks! I've just managed to get connected to the List, and I'm wondering about archives. I got some disks sent me a while back after seeing an ad in TRM, which take me to Volume 8 (looks like the numbering system's changed!) Is there a way I can get archives, bearing in mind I'm a humble CompuServe user and can't get to archive servers ? Thanks in advance...
