  I do this all the time. I count in armor also, and know that when
my ,e.g., Tusk Riders are attacked, that 4-7 points is a light wound
(little effect), 8-11 is disabling, and 12-15 is crippling. If we are
actually using figures, they may get put face up or face down (when crippled)
or replaced with one of hundreds of little plastic skeletons I won at an
amusement park when they are killed. (It's fairly rare we actually do a
combat with figures; when we do it is more of a little wargame than a
roleplaying session.)
