   Okay, I cast a Damage Resistance 10 on a friend, using power from a
bound spirit. That spirit can't regenerate 10 magic points until the
spell wears off in 13 days. Now I cast a Damage Boosting 5 on my dagger
using power from the same spirit. It can't regenerate five more of its
magic points for 19 days. Now....

  Maybe that doesn't bother you, Loren, but it isn't the sort of thing
