I thought a lot about this and it is just too powerful
the way I see it for it not to be POW. Think area
effect Heal 6, or Dismiss Magic 4, or (shuter) Sever
Spirit.

Actually I will probably say 1pt of power plus the mp
cost (see below).

Good idea I will make it a broken? Focusing crystal
(POW 15)and have them attune that. Then depending on
their level of succes it will have 5, 10, or 15 meter
radius of effect.

I think a better way maybe to just make them pay the
magic points cost as though they cast all those spells
themselves and effect all targets (this would need to
be better defined by me) in the area without giving
them the choice of effecting some but not the others.

For Divine magic I will make them pay the magic point
equivalent on a 2/1 basis. If they do not have enough
then the ones closest to the center of the area be
effected (and the caster will be unconscious)
