But more difficult and at least as ugly as far as system/rules work
for result goes.

It also feels wrong to have to use that many different spells and
effects to build a classic effect.

While creativity with the skills and spells is good, having to get
that creative and relying on the players too always do so was what I
was trying to avoid.
