Obviously, the clan believes that it is the best possible clan in any kingdom. But indivuals would, IMO, admit that "Fred, two valleys over, does catch more fish. But he does it wrong and insults the stream." Or "Joe downstream does catch more fish. That stops them getting up to us, the thieving b*****d."
