It is also interesting to note that there are multiple "official" Gloranthas - HeroQuest, RuneQuest, and the Prefinished Works. The editors/writers of each of these lines are different people with different perspectives.
I was originally disturbed by the variances introduced by Mongoose RuneQuest, but I now feel liberated by them. When there are multiple official Gloranthas, there is no official Glorantha. Your Glorantha WILL Vary - from one official source or another. That means new ideas have the opportunity to be introduced and, if popular enough, become generally accepted - which is as it should be. There are no sacred cows, only productive ones.
