At least in my Glorantha the household has a definite "children's crusade" feel.
With the crowning filled with ill omens the two daughters of Salinarg took their younger brother by hand, and all three stepped forth and pledged themselves to Humakt. Moved by the this ultimate sacrifice more children stepped forth from the crowd of thanes and nobles gathered, and joined the three children of Salinarg. One child from all the 24 tribes stepped forward and pledged themselves to Humakt.
Hence 27 deciples of Humakt, they are severed from clan, family and society, but they have been adopted by the prince Salinarg (my game is set in 1601 ST). Most of the humakti cultists of Sartar have rallied around them.
Anyway, that's my take (or a part of it) on the household. Besides, the question was about Salinarg, who definitely is like I outlined above.
