I admit I'm not all that educated on the chaotic species in Glorantha,
so I did not know that.
Then again, does this make any sense? A chaos thing/god creating such
a structured species? Not that any human is apt to know the truth--I
can imagine that they may know "there is no mention of these before
the greater darkness, they appeared in the darkness, and worship
Bagog. Therefore Bagog must have created them.
The truth, well, I don't know if it is the sort of truth you can learn
without turning yourself into a scorpion critter. But I'd speculate
something like there was some other god or spirit, no longer
remembered, who ate a chaos monster to destroy it. But the chaos
monster ate its way out of the god/spirit, taking over but also
corrupting some its mythic/runic place in the world. Its followers
were twisted into the scorpion folk. Or something like that.
