Mmm, I had envisioned them as weirder than that. Similar to odaylans in the sense that they're outside of the clan's steads for some days, appearing when they're needed by the clan. A kind of semi-hermits who are viewed as madmen by many, but are useful to the clan nonetheless. I think this will be a case of my Glorantha varying ;-).
