Benedict is quite right, from the academic point of view. However, from the parochial Heortling viewpoint, a curvy sword = a warped Death Rune = a warped worshipper. Cultural sensitivity from a bunch of local-yokel Humakti? Let's play up the we-worship-the-right-way prejudices here! It's sooo much more fun...
